Celebrity storm chaser Reed Timmer posted a cryptic tweet Wednesday where he claimed he’d never be working with news media again after working closely with AccuWeather for some time.

Timmer told followers that he is “likely going to not be working with news media again for the rest of my storm chasing career,” in a tweet sent in the early hours of Wednesday morning. However, he didn’t expand on his statement, only seeming to reply to comments from people praising his work rather than those asking for an explanation.

Timmer has worked with AccuWeather as their leading “extreme” meteorologist since November 2016. Timmer’s coverage is arguably some of the most fun and ridiculous, bringing the terrifying forces of Mother Nature to our phone screens since joining the AccuWeather team. But some of you may know him from the series “Storm Chasers.”

He told fans and followers that he’ll likely be using his platform to create his own content moving forward, following up this statement by posting a live stream dedicated to the emerging storm systems over the U.S. threatening millions of Americans from Thursday through Monday.

Neither Timmer nor AccuWeather responded to the Daily Caller’s request for confirmation on the apparent falling out. (RELATED: If You Think Close-Up Tornado Videos Are Scary, Wait Till You See What Else Is Coming…)

I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see where Timmer dedicates his time from now on. And maybe someone else will hop into the “extreme” meteorologist seat at AccuWeather. Whoever they are, they will have some pretty well-trodden shoes to fill.
