That might leave a mark.

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell’s campaign is running a new ad accusing Democratic opponent Alison Lundergan Grimes of “hypocrisy,” citing low wages paid to workers at her family’s Hugh Jass burger restaurant.

“Alison Grimes talks about raising the minimum wage,” the ad’s narrator says. “But Grimes has a problem.”

“Servers at Hugh Jass Burgers – yeah, you heard that right – make just $2.13 an hour,” a CNN reporter says in the clip.

Grimes’ father, former state Democratic Party chairman Jerry Lundergan, co-owns the Hugh Jass restaurant. The menu includes items like “Charlotte’s Rack,” named for his wife, and “Abby’s Hugh Jass,” for his daughter.
