During an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Wednesday, Ice Cube opined that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump embodies the American dream.

The 46-year-old rapper — whose real name is O’Shea Jackson — said Americans love the Republican front-runner.

“Donald Trump is what Americans aspire to be — rich, powerful, do what you wanna do, say what you wanna say, be how you wanna be,” Ice Cube said.

“That’s kind of been like the American Dream. He looks like a boss to everybody, and Americans love to have a boss.” (RELATED: Ice Cube: ‘Donald Trump Is What Americans Love’)

Ice Cube’s judgment of Trump appears to have changed considerably over the last 26 years. In 1990, the rapper used an image of Trump to represent the paradigm of an insolvent hustler in his “Who’s the Mack” music video.

“Who’s the Mack” is a cautionary tale about encountering and dealing with manipulative people. Those people include a pimp, a drug-addicted vagrant and a hurtful lady’s man.

The golden oldie appeared on Ice Cube’s debut solo album “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” during a period in the legendary rapper’s career that was more raw and gritty than, say, “Are We There Yet?

At the end of the video — at about the 4-minute mark — a quartet of famous “macks” appear in the video.

First is George Herbert Walker Bush as “President Mack.”

Next is Jim Bakker and his cosmetics-enjoying wife, Tammy Faye. They are “Busted Mack.”

Trump as “Broke Mack” appears third.

The fourth and final Mack, “Straight Gangsta Mack,” is Ice Cube himself.

Ice Cube also told Bloomberg that he thought Trump’s wealth would make it difficult for him to “relate to the small guy.” (RELATED: Eighth-Grade Teacher Suspended For Assigning PIMPIN’ ‘Poetry’ By Ice Cube)

“Do I think he’s gonna do anything to help poor people or people that’s struggling?” he continued. “No, because he’s a rich, white guy. He’s always been rich. Being rich don’t make you bad. I ain’t saying that. But I’m just saying, how can he relate to the small guy?”

Celebrity Net Worth estimates Ice Cube’s net worth to be about $140 million.
