The rapper 50 Cent has apologized to the family and teen he made fun of in an Instagram video.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, issued an apology to airport employee, Andrew Farrell, who suffers from autism, according to Page Six.

“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man,” he said in a statement.

“It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America,” the rapper added. “I have apologized personally to him and his family.”

A report by TMZ says the family was looking to possibly file a lawsuit against 50 Cent, but says that they would accept a sincere apology instead.

As previously reported, the rapper had posted a video on his Instagram making fun of Farrell, saying on camera, “He’s high as a motherfucker, right here in the airport.”
