Warner Bros. has slowly introduced fans to key characters in August’s “Suicide Squad” such as Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Will Smith’s Deadshot and Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller. Now, it’s time for Jared Leto’s Joker to take center stage.

The studio has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming comic book blockbuster that heavily features Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime. Check it out below.

“Suicide Squad” is written and directed by David Ayer (“Fury,” “End of Watch”). In addition to Oscar nominees Smith and Davis, Oscar winner Leto and rising star Robbie, the film also stars Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and other familiar faces. Here is WB’s official plot synopsis.

“It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”

“Suicide Squad” will arrive in theaters on Aug. 5.
