Amy Schumer ripped Jenny McCarthy after the latter conducted a polarizing interview with actress Tara Reid.
Last week on “The Jenny McCarthy Show,” the host grilled Reid about her plastic surgery and forays into reality television. Reid was visibly not happy and cut the interview short, but McCarthy had more than enough time to aim some targeted words at her guest.
“I hope your knees get a little wobblier than they already are. Love you, Tara. Good luck with Sharknado 18,” McCarthy said, thick with sarcasm.
Now, Schumer is striking back. In an interview with Jim Norton, Schumer ripped the host for being a bully.
“I’ve never met either of them, I don’t think. But why won’t you just be nice to each other? It really seemed like she was just bullying her,” Schumer said.
“You know what it’s like, people come in and they’ll be like, ‘Hey can you not talk about this thing?’ and you’ll be like, ‘OK, and sometime you’ll f–k with them, but she didn’t need to do…I don’t know. I don’t know their deal at all, but what are you doing?”
Schumer then revealed some background on her relationship with McCarthy.
“Well you have fun and you f–k with them…I mean, [to be like], ‘You’re not walking out of here until I hurt your feelings?’ Like, just what are you doing? This past season of [Inside Amy Schumer], season three, she wasn’t really nice to my friend Rachel. So I was just like, ‘Let’s just go after Jenny McCarthy all season.’ She hates me, obviously. But just be f—ing nice, really. What are you doing?”
