MSNBC: Hillary Suggesting Obama Assassination In 2008 Is Not Relevant When Discussing Trump [VIDEO]

MSNBC’s Kate Snow and Donald Trump’s spokeswoman Katrina Pierson got in a heated exchange Wednesday, where Snow was more than happy to discuss Trump’s Second Amendment comment but did not think Hillary Clinton’s comment about Barack Obama actually getting assassinated was relevant.

On Tuesday, during a rally in North Carolina, Trump said, “[I]f [Clinton] gets to pick — if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don’t know.” (RELATED: Clinton Camp Accuses Trump Of Supporting Hillary’s Assassination)

During “MSNBC Live,” Snow addressed Pierson, “So Katrina, let’s assume you’re absolutely correct, that [Trump] did not mean to insight any violence, that’s not what he was saying, but people heard that.” (RELATED: Trump: ‘Second Amendment People’ Could Prevent Hillary From Abolishing The Second Amendment [VIDEO])

“Well, people may have heard that,” Pierson acknowledged, “and it’s been reinforced by the media. And the reason Hillary Clinton is not commenting on it is because she, herself, did talk about the actual assassination of Obama in 2008.”

Talking over Pierson, Snow said, “So if people may have heard that, people may have heard that, doesn’t he have a responsibility then–”

Ignoring Snow’s interruption, Pierson continued, “and the MSNBC video has been released and that’s why she’s not talking about it because even she knows that the inference was not to incite violence with her.”

“But this isn’t about Hillary Clinton with all due respect, this is about Donald Trump,” Snow claimed. “This isn’t about Hillary Clinton. You just said people may have heard that. If people heard that, doesn’t he have responsibility for his words.”

“Because it’s being reinforced by the media,” Pierson replied. “That’s the second part of what I said.”

“We are reporting what he said. Should we play it again? Would you like me to play it again,” Snow said.

Pierson added, “If you listen to Donald Trump’s rallies Kate, he talks about this at every rally. He talks about this at every rally and if Hillary Clinton is able to appoint Supreme Court candidates that are against the Second Amendment, there has to be something to stop her.”

“My question is, does he have any accountability for what people hear, for what they interpret as a remark inciting people to violence,” Snow said.

“If he had control over the liberal news networks, absolutely, but he does not. And that’s another reason why we’re talking about this today, because they have picked out a piece of what he was talking about in the greater context of a topic he’s talked about in every single rally. And that is the power of the NRA and that is the ability for Hillary Clinton, if elected, would support candidates at the Supreme Court that would actually strip the rights piece by piece from law abiding citizens and their ability to defend themselves.”

In May 2008, Clinton directly referenced the assassination of a presidential candidate when there were calls for her to drop out.

Clinton said, “My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it.” (RELATED: Biden In 2008: If Obama ‘Tries To Fool With My Beretta He’s Got A Problem’ [VIDEO])

Also in 2008, Joe Biden said, “I guarantee ya’ Barack Obama ain’t takin’ my shotgun, so don’t buy that malarkey. Don’t buy that malarkey. They’re gonna start peddling that to you. I’ve got two. If he tries to fool with my Beretta he’s got a problem. I like that little over and under. I’m not bad with it.”
