“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has just dropped a brand new trailer. Check it out below.

The trailer features the film’s main antagonist in Director Orson Krenic (Ben Mendelsohn), but more importantly, the one and only Darth Vader. Unfortunately, it is still unknown just how involved Vader will be in this film and what his role will be.

We also get several new shots of our main protagonists. While this trailer is light on specific plot details, it does help to establish the unique tone and look of the first ever “Star Wars” spinoff film. This anthology entry is the first in a series of spinoffs and will be followed by the untitled Han Solo origin movie starring Alden Ehrenreich coming in 2018.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will follow Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and a group of Rebel soldiers and bounty hunters who conspire together to steal the plans for the first Death Star. “Rogue One” take place just before the events of the original “Star Wars” movie, giving us some crucial background on the galaxy we are introduced to in “A New Hope.”

Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla”) is directing and joining Jones on screen will be Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen and Mads Mikkelsen.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will hit theaters on Dec. 17. “Star Wars: Episode VIII” will arrive on Dec. 15, 2017.
