Juanita Gomez, 49, told authorities she was extracting Satan when she fatally jammed a crucifix and a religious medallion down her daughter’s throat until she saw blood.
Officers found Geneva Gomez, 33, lying dead on the floor of her Oklahoma City home after her boyfriend called 911. They subsequently arrested her mother for the crime. Juanita Gomez had swollen hands from allegedly punching her daughter, who was trying to fight back.
The elder Gomez had reportedly told police on Friday that her daughter was “possessed by the devil” and then murdered her the next day according to The International Business Times.
After the attack, Juanita Gomez proceeded to position her daughter’s lifeless body in the shape of a cross, and placed the crucifix on her chest.
The younger Gomez and her boyfriend had plans to get married soon according to WLOX.
Juanita Gomez was booked at the Oklahoma County Jail.
