Republican Sen. Ted Cruz just made a $100,000 donation to the National Republican Senatorial Committee Tuesday, despite the fact that none of the Senators running for office supported his presidential bid in the Republican primary.

Only three sitting senators formally endorsed Cruz, according to statistics site FiveThirtyEight. None of those Senators are currently running for re-election. There are a number of vulnerable senators running, including Mark Kirk, Pat Toomey and Kelly Ayotte. Fellow Texas Sen. John Cornyn declined to support Cruz in his 2018 primary, telling CNN that he didn’t want to get involved in a primary race.

Portman endorsed Gov. John Kasich, Toomey endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio; the others abstained from making an endorsement in the race.

The donation came after Politico asked Cruz’s staff about the lack of support Cruz gave his Senate colleagues. Cruz donated $250,000 to the NRSC in 2014.

Cruz’s office did not immediately return a request for comment.
