As the clown sighting epidemic became more prevalent over recent months in America, so did searches for clown pornography.

Pornhub, one of the go-to X-rated websites, released data showing a huge uptick in clown searches on their salacious website, including a 213-percent increase at its highest point.

“Clown fetish porn has been around for some time, so searches on Pornhub are not uncommon,” the sites’ official blog post from mid-October reads. But in “the last 30 days there have been over 100,000 clown related searches.”(RELATED: India Binges On Porn After Google Gives Country Free Wi-Fi)

Company statisticians also found that women are 33 percent more likely to search for clown porn than men.

Popular search terms related to the costumed entertainers were “clown porn,” “clown girl,” “clown gangbang,” “clown orgy,” “midget clown,” “crazy clown,” “killer clown,” “lesbian clown,” “clown fart,” and “clown feet.”

Researchers at Pornhub wanted to find out if this was just an example of briefly piqued curiosity, or an underlying pattern of a growing clown fetish. The site analyzed the terms most often searched before “clown” was ultimately browsed for.

“Circus,” “face paint,” “ronald mcdonald” and “zombie” were all popular search terms. Harley Quinn, the comic book character depicted by Margot Robbie in the recently released movie “Suicide Squad,” was also one of the most popular searched phrases before the word “clown” was looked up.

Sexual intrigue over clowns coincided with the number of people spooked and disturbed by clown sightings across the country.

A group of friends were so perturbed when a man dressed as a clown approached their car in the middle of the night that two eventually got out of the vehicle and beat the masked man.
