Remember the lovely Code Pink gal who was dragged out of Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing while yelling about Jim Sessions”?

Well, she might not have even known the name of the guy she was protesting, but now she’ll have up to a year to contemplate the whole thing. Christopher Mele, NYT:

A jury on Wednesday convicted three Code Pink activists on charges related to a protest at the confirmation hearing of Jeff Sessions for attorney general — including a Virginia woman who said all she did was break out in laughter.

Each of the three protesters faces up to 12 months in jail, $2,000 in fines, or both, depending on the outcome of a June 21 sentencing hearing.

The woman with the laugh, Desiree A. Fairooz, 61, of Bluemont, Va., said she was undeterred. “We’ll face the music when we get to that,” she said.

She didn’t “just laugh,” as you saw above. Still, a year in jail for that seems like a lot. Although keep in mind that the three Code Pink cuties rejected a plea deal and demanded a trial. They wanted to be martyrs, and now they’re getting their wish. I just hope they’re allowed to wear their pussy hats in the joint.

Those two other Sessions protesters in the Klan outfits were convicted too. I don’t know why they dressed up in traditional Democratic Party garb to mock a Republican, but it sure didn’t work out for them.
