President Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany recently traveled to Europe with her boyfriend for a summer vacation, and it cost taxpayers at least $22,000, according to a CBS report published Wednesday.

The reason for the expenses is because the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) detail escorted her and her partner throughout the trip, which included visits to Berlin, Germany and Budapest, Hungary. CBS News obtained access to the hotel costs for the Secret Service team, and it allegedly amounted to $22,439.

“URGENT! Rooms Regent USSS (Tiffany Trump visit) June 14-24,” one purchase order viewed by CBS News reads.

There are several other expenses that taxpayers may have had to pay for, including the time Secret Service officials worked and their transcontinental flights.

Because it doesn’t have a base in Berlin specifically, the USSS had to establish a makeshift, “temporary office” in a hotel room near Tiffany’s, according to CBS.

Just like the clamoring over Trump’s visit to Florida in February, which reportedly cost taxpayers an estimated $3 million, people will inevitably cry foul over Tiffany’s getaway. However, ensuring members of the first family are safe has plenty of precedent.

Malia and Sasha Obama presumably got USSS detail for college campus visits, and even that infamous Lollapalooza music festival attended by the elder sister. Additionally, both former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush personally authorized directives extending the period of USSS service and protection for their daughters beyond their executive tenure, according to a 2009 CBS report.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who referred the organization to the USSS. The USSS has not responded to TheDCNF’s inquiry for public comment by the time of publication.
