Fans of the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Wisconsin Badgers proudly lead the country in football fan ejections, according to data compiled by KGW News.

KGW News requested stadium records from major college football programs, and South Carolina and Wisconsin lead the pack. Gamecocks fans are ejected at a rate of .92 per 1,000 and Badgers fans are tossed at a rate of .72 per 1,000.

The next closest was the Oregon Ducks at .56 per 1,000.

Oregon State has the 4th highest Fan Ejection Rate in the country

Am I disappointed that my school ranked second in the country? Definitely not. You get to be rowdy when you have a winning culture, and Wisconsin is all about partying and winning. It’s the formula the state was built on. Several of my friends have been ejected from Wisconsin games at Camp Randall. Some of them deserved it. Others most certainly didn’t. You’re never going to convince me that bringing a bottle of whiskey into a stadium while shirtless and hammered is worthy of an ejection.

I’ve never been to a South Carolina game, but their fans also apparently like to go pretty hard. What’s surprising to me is that Utah and Wyoming both showed up on this list at sixth and seventh. I wouldn’t have guessed in a million years that either of those schools would be near the top. Seems like I need to take a trip out West sometime soon.
