The nation is mourning after eight people were killed in a terrorist attack in New York City on Tuesday, and unfortunately, the media is choosing to obfuscate and misrepresent the true nature of the attack.

As we now know, the attacker shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he rammed his truck into pedestrians and left a note in his truck pledging allegiance to ISIS. Meanwhile, the Associated Press claims investigators don’t know the motive of the attack and an MSNBC guest says the attacker could have “just as easily” been a former Catholic.

Today In Media is ripping apart these narratives and telling you the truth about what happened in New York.

“There is a deliberate coverup happening here for the Islamic community here in the United States in order to not grapple with the actual facts,” host Saagar Enjeti said. “The facts are, Mr. Saipov came to this country in 2010 under a diversity lottery even though he had no skills, did not speak English, and from his entire time here, seemed unable to hold down a job.”

“People on MSNBC and CNN like to say that Islamophobia is things like expressing a desire for stricter immigration laws,” co-host Amber Athey asserted. “That’s not Islamophobia, that’s rational.”
