A 25-year-old man went live on Facebook during a three hour high speed police chase around Oklahoma City Friday.

Brenton Hager told family members he loved them, speculated on the severity of his sentence and listened to music in the Facebook live video he filmed while fleeing police in a stolen pick up truck.

Police officers attempted to stop his vehicle numerous times using spike strips but he maneuvered around them, extending the chase through suburban neighborhoods, high ways and sprawling agricultural fields. Hager eventually went off road, racing through a dusty field before the stolen truck became stuck in the mud, at which point he attempted to flee on foot before police eventually downed him with a taser.

Hager seemed to revel in the attention he received from law enforcement, repeatedly counting the number of police cruisers trailing him and announcing the total to his viewers.

“Hey, wanna see me in a high-speed chase?” he yells to a bystander at one point. “I’m in a high-speed chase, bro!”

The truck’s owner, Shane Jones, said the truck was stolen from his driveway, and he called the police when he noticed the truck on the road.

“I thank god nobody got killed,” Jones told the local CBS News affiliate. “He could’ve killed several people at any given time.”
