News aggregator Matt Drudge asserted Tuesday night that Luther Strange would have won the Alabama Senate race against Democrat Doug Jones.

“Luther Strange would have won in a landslide…Just too much crazy in nerve racking times,” Drudge tweeted after the results were announced declaring Jones the winner. “There IS a limit!”

Strange lost the Republican primary against Roy Moore despite having an endorsement from President Donald Trump. While Moore lacked a presidential endorsement in the primary, he assured voters that he was going to advance President Trump’s agenda, and ultimately earned his endorsement during the general election.

Moore’s campaign was rocked by a number of controversies, including a molestation scandal, some uncouth comments about slavery, and some disastrous cable news interviews with his press team. (RELATED: Roy Moore’s Spox Sets The South Back 100 Years In Interview With CNN’s Jake Tapper)
