Being a freeloader at Roland Martin‘s house is the quickest way to get on his bad side. If you’ve seen #RolandsRules around the holidays, he runs a tight ship where his relatives are concerned. It’s his way — or the highway.
Martin, a former morning news host at TV One, has a niece who learned about his household views the hard way in the past 24 hours after she a) wanted the longtime broadcast journalist to warn her when he was coming home and b) give her his bowl of Frosted Flakes.
Sure, they’re grrrrrrreat! But has she lost her damn mind?
Martin thinks so.
With Alantis protesting in the background on his couch, Martin told fans about his niece’s Dr. Phil-worthy behavior.
“Listen up people, y’all gonna have to pray for me ’cause I’m going sit here and smack the hell out of my niece, Alantis,” he began. “I’ll tell y’all what just happened. I just came home k? My house. She was like, oh my God, you scared me, I thought somebody was breaking into the house. Why didn’t you call ahead and say you were coming home?”
Alantis piped up and said she didn’t say that. “I said why didn’t you say anything!”
“It’s my house!” Martin replied, incredulously. “The hell I gotta say something for?”
Alantis suggested everyone needs to communicate when they’re coming home.
Martin said, “No, yo little scary ass communicate.”
The longtime journalist then fixed himself a bowl of Frosted Flakes.
“She gonna go, is that my Frosted Flakes?” he asked. “Who the hell bought the milk?”
Alantis can be heard saying, “I got no food. Ya’ll got all these other cereals.”
Martin countered, “Guess who pay her! I do! Lost her damn mind!”
In case anyone thinks this is a serious fight, Alantis can be seen smiling in the background.
Asked if they’ve made up, Martin told The Mirror, “LMAO!!! I mess with her all the time.”
