HBO released a very interesting inside look at its chronicling of the Penn State child molestation scandal in the new film “Paterno.”

According to the new preview, the movie will focus on a two week period when Paterno becomes the winningest coach in America and Jerry Sandusky’s horrific crimes are revealed.

One thing is crystal clear from the preview and that is the network won’t be taking it on Penn State, Sandusky and anybody else they think might have helped cover of the crimes of that monster.

I can’t wait to see this movie when it’s released April 7. It looks like it should be outstanding with Al Pacino in the driver’s seat as disgraced football coach Joe Paterno.

The Penn State scandal is one of the darkest moments in all of sports history in America. Tons of children were victimized by a disgusting monster, and it went on for far too long before the police got involved. Luckily, Sandusky will be sitting in a cage for presumably the rest of his life, but it’s hardly justice.

Hopefully, HBO doesn’t hold back one bit when telling the story.
