Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Caller News Foundation Chris Bedford believes Democrats who are backing Andrew McCabe may be going too far by trying to save his pension.

“I think some of the Democrats who have been jumping to his aid right now, who have been saying that they will hire McCabe and they’ll bring him on staff, help him get that pension, may be going too far,” Bedford said Monday on Fox News’ “Outnumbered.” “You see Democrats like Schiff kind of pulling back and backing up their support for McCabe.”

WATCH:

Bedford said some Democrats are beginning to waver over their support of McCabe and may end up regretting their decision to back him down the road.

“All we know is that McCabe’s wife took $500,000 from an ally of Clinton for a state campaign,” he concluded. “There’s a lot of smoke there. There’s lying to the FBI. So Democrats who come out too strongly in defense of McCabe might end up regretting that.”
