The Sister Jean sensation isn’t over yet, although she has slightly faded out of the spotlight since the end of Loyola Chicago’s incredible Final Four run.

The Loyola University Chicago chaplain threw out the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs home opener at Wrigley Field on Tuesday where she was welcomed with a loud roar of applause. (RELATED: This Is The Best Photo Of Sister Jean On The Internet)

Sister Jean rolled out onto the diamond in her wheelchair and gave it her best effort from just a few feet out. The underhand pitch didn’t quite make it to the catcher, but nobody seemed to care. At 98 years old, fans likely weren’t expecting a strike for the chaplain’s ceremonial toss — they still loved every second of it anyway.

Just when you thought Sister Jean was gone from the spotlight for good, she snuck right back into sports fans’ hearts.
