“The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah criticized MSNBC host Joy Reid on Tuesday night for claiming that hackers wrote homophobic posts on her old personal blog.

Reid previously apologized for similar posts disparaging gay people, but claimed she did not believe she wrote this new round of posts.

“I’m like, okay but you already said sorry,” Noah said. “It’s a bit weird and then journalists did their research and they were like, no there’s no sign of hacking here.”

“You don’t believe you wrote it? Did you write it or not?” he continued. “I just think it’s weird for a hacker to hack you and write an essay. That’s a dedicated ass hacker…that’s some fluent hacking right there.”

Noah ended the segment — which took place during a commercial break — by guessing that people desperately don’t want to be “busted” for being a different person in the past.
