Simona Mangiante Papadopoulos, wife of George Papadopoulos, asked President Donald Trump to pardon her husband during a Monday interview on Fox News.

Mrs. Papadopoulos reiterated earlier claims to The Daily Caller News Foundation that she does not believe her husband colluded with Russia and that the only reason he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI was to avoid being charged as an Israeli agent. (RELATED: PAPADOPOULOS’ WIFE: TRUMP AIDE WAS ‘ABSOLUTELY NOT’ INVOLVED IN RUSSIAN COLLUSION)

Mrs. Papadopoulos told Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson that she wants to set the record straight on her husband’s involvement in the campaign and ultimately hopes Trump will pardon him.

“I honestly — I know how committed, how much dedicated he was to the Trump campaign,” Mrs. Papadopoulos said. “I trust and I hope and I ask the president to pardon him. I hope he will.”
