Former director of national intelligence James Clapper praised President Donald Trump for his efforts in denuclearizing North Korea.

“My observation certainly when I was there was the North Koreans were clearly stuck on their narrative and we were kind of stuck on ours,” Clapper said. “Emblematic of that were the talking points I was assigned to recite to the North Koreans, first one of which was ‘you must denuclearize before we talk to you.’ Well, that’s a nonstarter.”
