Filmmaker David Lynch said President Donald Trump could go down as one of the greatest presidents in American history.
“He could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history because he has disrupted the thing so much. No one is able to counter this guy in an intelligent way.” Lynch said during a Saturday interview with The Guardian.
He also pointed out how Trump has exposed the ruling class in Washington and shown them to be incompetent.
“Our so-called leaders can’t take the country forward, can’t get anything done. Like children, they are. Trump has shown all this,” Lynch added. “I am not really a political person, but I really like the freedom to do what you want to do.”
Trump tweeted about the article on Sunday and highlighted the complement.

Lynch’s credits include the movies “Dune,” “Blue Velvet and “Mulholland Drive,” along with the cult classic TV series “Twin Peaks,” which was recently revived by Showtime in 2017 for a third season.
