Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh is a “political animal” on “The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell” on MSNBC Monday night, fearing he will be a judicial activist.
“He wants to put his own judgement forward for these agencies, how he thinks things would work better. He is a political animal. He has been for a big part of the formative years of his career,” Warren said Monday night. (RELATED: Kavanaugh’s Former Clerks Hail Him As ‘Enthusiastic Role Model’ And ‘Kind, Genuine’)

Warren also said that Kavanaugh did not reflect “America’s values” because “he does not have any concern for what it means to be a 16-year-old stranded in this country … a refugee,” on the same Monday night MSNBC appearance.
Warren also blasted Kavanaugh on Twitter Monday, tweeting that he is “hostile to health care for millions, opposed to the CFPB and corporate accountability, thinks presidents like Trump are above the law.” The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) was originally introduced by Warren in 2007.
Brett Kavanaugh’s record as a judge and lawyer is clear: hostile to health care for millions, opposed to the CFPB & corporate accountability, thinks Presidents like Trump are above the law – and conservatives are confident that he would overturn Roe v. Wade. I’ll be voting no.
