Roseanne Barr backed out of her first TV interview since the cancellation of “Roseanne,” calling it “too stressful and untrustworthy.”
ABC canned “Roseanne” after Barr tweeted a racist remark about former President Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.
“After a lot of thought, I decided that I won’t be doing any TV interviews, too stressful & untrustworthy 4 me & my fans,” the 65-year-old comedian tweeted Monday night. “I’m going to film it myself & post it on my YouTube channel in the next week-the entire explanation of what happened & why!”
“I love you all-sign up & get ready,” she added.

She had announced on Sunday that she would be doing a TV interview for all her “wonderful fans” who had supported her in recent weeks. She tweeted about Jarret in May: “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.”
“To my wonderful fans who I treasure and love-who have carried me these past weeks when I was to weak to carry myself: I will be doing a TV interview this week. I’ll tell u about it tomorrow,” Barr tweeted.

During an interview last month on Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s podcast, the comedian said she “definitely” felt remorse over what had happened.
“I don’t want to run off and blather on with excuses, but I apologize to anyone who … felt offended and who thought that I meant something that I, in fact, did not mean,” Barr explained. “It was my own ignorance, and there’s no excuse for that ignorance. I definitely feel remorse.”
She also apologized for the comment and has since vowed to “make restitution for the pain she caused.”
