President Donald Trump took to Twitter to share his thoughts on his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday in Helsinki on Tuesday.

He called the meeting “a great success,” although he also pointed out that the “Fake News Media” did not view his performance during the press conference with Putin very well.

After receiving significant backlash from Democrats and Republicans alike, the president held a press briefing on Tuesday to clarify his statements.

“I will begin by stating that I have full faith and support for America’s great intelligence agencies, I always have,” the president said.

He continued, “I have felt very strongly that while Russia’s actions had no impact at all on the outcome of the election, let me be totally clear in saying that, and I have said this many times, I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place.” (RELATED: Watch: Lights Suddenly Go Dark While Trump Talks During White House Presser)
