The Daily Beast is running an advertisement against President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.
The left-leaning website forayed into activist territory by telling people to subscribe to their membership program if they want a news site that is “on [their] side” against Kavanaugh.
The advertisement warned that America is hanging in the balance with Trump’s SCOTUS pick and that Americans can expect civil rights, LGBT rights, “and more” to be rolled back with the addition of another conservative justice.
“With a Supreme Court nomination that could upend decades of progress in civil rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and more, you need a news site that’s on your side,” the ad reads. “Join The Daily Beast’s membership program to support our journalism.”
The Washington Free Beacon’s Alex Griswold posted a screenshot of the advertisement on Twitter and noted that the ad clearly betrays the site’s liberal bias.
