Linda Sarsour, a left-wing activist and self-described “every Islamophobe’s worst nightmare,” recently fell for a parody Twitter account purporting to be a U.S. Congressman.

The parody account for “Rep. Steven Smith,” who doesn’t actually exist, tweeted:

Sarsour responded:

As Politifact reports, “Simply: ‘Rep. Steven Smith’ is not real. The account, and the Congressman, are fakes.”

Indeed, the man behind the account once published an article for The Daily Caller in 2016, explaining the now long-running prank. (RELATED: I’m The Man Behind The Fake Rep. Steven Smith Account)

While not falling for fake accounts, Sarsour has talked about the “Jewish media,” telling a crowd in November, “If what you’re reading all day long, morning and night, in the Jewish media is that Linda Sarsour and Minister Farrakhan are the existential threats to the Jewish community, something really bad is gonna happen and we gonna miss the mark on it.”
