White House correspondent April Ryan believes it’s no coincidence that Omarosa Manigault Newman took up most of the air in the room while musical legend Aretha Franklin lay on her deathbed.

“She did it because Aretha Franklin didn’t want her at her birthday party,” Ryan claimed. “That’s how vindictive Omarosa is.”

Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter that Manigault Newman intentionally took up the news cycle while Franklin was dying, pushing claims that there was a tape somewhere of President Donald Trump using “the N-word,” because Franklin had objected to Manigault Newman attending a birthday party years ago.

The CNN contributor had a few more harsh words for her former friend, saying that Manigault Newman had burned a number of bridges inside the White House and out.

“People still don’t like her,” Ryan said, “but they’re willing to sit back and eat the popcorn and watch them shoot at each other, Donald Trump and Omarosa shoot at each other … We don’t want to see her called a ‘dog’ by the president, but we don’t trust her. She has done a lot of dirt, and people don’t forget …”

Ryan, who was promoting her own book when she did the interview (“Under Fire: Reporting From the Front Lines of the Trump White House” hits shelves on September 1) concluded that it was all part of Manigault Newman’s plan to keep the money rolling in.

She said, “Omarosa said a long time ago that she’d never be poor again. And if this is her way to be big and grand so she won’t be poor, so be it. She’ll throw anybody under the bus to get a dollar … People will be around for the spectacle, and she is providing a spectacle.”
