On the show today, we are back to talk about the life and death of John McCain and Chuck Todd’s claim that people distrust journalists because Fox News exists.

Listen to The Daily Daily Caller Podcast:

We talk about some personal interactions with the late Senator John McCain and discuss his legacy, which is mixed. His last minute vote saved Obamacare and McCain/Feingold were bad choices. But mostly we talk about the idea of replacing McCain with another McCain and how that would be a mistake. We fought a war to end hereditary power, yet that is a normal part of US politics nowadays. And it is a mistake. We make the case.

Chuck Todd thinks the American people have so little trust in the mainstream media because of Fox News, that it’s all their fault. All Fox and other conservative outlets did was show the American people what was on the cutting room floor, the facts and stories the liberal media wanted to ignore. Todd sees that, sees people having as much information as possible, as a problem. Given that CNN stands behind a story where their anonymous source, Lanny Davis, admits he was wrong, maybe Chuck should find a reflective surface if he wants to know why people do not believe what they are being told.
