Tesla CEO Elon praised the qualities of marijuana as he smoked weed on Joe Rogan’s podcast Thursday.
As Fox News reports, Musk was musing about his ideas for an electric plane when his host lit up a joint and passed it to the always controversial technology tycoon.
Tesla talked about his electric plane would offer vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capability but quickly diverted the subject, declaring, “These things are much more important than creating electric supersonic VTOL.”
Musk wondered if any laws were broken by smoking the weed in California.
The Space X founder remains the center of another outrage after criticizing a British diver who risked his life to save a group of Thai youth inside a cave. Instead of lauding Vernon Unsworth’s heroism, Musk accused him of defending “child rapists” who was only in Thailand to secure a “child bride.”
“He’s an old, single white guy from England who’s been traveling to or living in Thailand for 30 to 40 years, mostly Pattaya Beach, until moving to Chiang Rai for a child bride who was about 12 years old at the time,” Musk told Buzzfeed.
But Musk’s own employees find the eccentric businessman’s behavior more than a little odd. In a recent Business Insider interview, Musk is described as “sleeping on the floor” during work hours.
“He’s here all the time. I know people have seen him sleeping on the floor under a desk. All of a sudden, everybody’s all walking out and you look around and someone is curled up under the desk, come to find out it’s Elon,” according to Miguel Carrera, who works for Musk.
