U.S. border guards on the Texas border nabbed an illegal previously accused of raping his teen daughter. According to WKRN-TV in Nashville, authorities caught Rusbel Zamorano-Calderon trying to re-enter the United States illegally about 14 miles south of El Paso on Tuesday.

Zamorano-Calderon was one of many trying to illegally enter the U.S. at the same border crossing.

As Fox News reports, the immigration officials soon found that Zamorano-Calderon has illegally entered the United States before and faced three charges for the rape of his 15-year-old daughter. The man is under a restraining order to stay away from the teenager.

“This most recent arrest serves as another prime example of the importance of maintaining vigilance along our nation’s borders, and the important role the Border Patrol Agents play in helping keep our communities safe,” reads a news release from the U.S. Border Control quoted by Fox.

According to officials, Zamorano-Calderon will remain in detention in El Paso until he can be moved to Polk County for processing and trial.

Correction: The article previously stated he was charged three times. In fact, he faced three charges.
