CFL player Jon Gott celebrated a touchdown in a recent game in epic fashion.

The Ottawa Redblacks offensive lineman rushed to the stands after a score against the Toronto Argonauts, grabbed a beer and slammed it.

It might have happened in Canada, but the video has gone viral south of the border, too. You can watch it below. It’s outstanding.

How great is that celebration? Absolutely epic on every single level possible. This is the type of edginess we need back in football. I want everybody crushing brews after big plays!

If this happened in the NFL, Goodell would probably murder somebody. After all, fun is pretty much banned in America’s highest level of football.

Shotgunning a beer might get you suspended. It’s sad, but it’s true.

Are we really going to let the Canadians show us how a proper celebration is done? I think the obvious answer to that question is no. (RELATED: Is It Anti-American To Hate Shower Beers)

We can’t let our friends north of the border do anything better than us! They might lead the world in maple syrup, but we can’t let them be better at drinking beer than us. Can’t allow it!

Props to Gott for obviously being the damn man. Now, it’s time for the NFL to step up.
