While President Donald Trump continues his search for a new chief of staff, one former baseball player wants to take a swing at the position.

Former MLB designated hitter Jose Canseco tweeted his interest in the job Wednesday night, promising to establish a daily workout routine for the president. (RELATED: Trump Rules Out Mark Meadows For Chief Of Staff)

Canseco made fun of the president’s weight, saying that he is “looking more like a Twinkie everyday.”

This isn’t the first time that Canseco has volunteered himself for a role in the Trump administration. Following U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s resignation, Canseco tweeted his interest in that position, as well. The gig ultimately went to Heather Nauert. (RELATED: Trump Flatly Denies Michael Cohen’s Claims In Court)

Canseco was a candidate during season four of “Celebrity Apprentice,” when Trump was the host.

The former baseball star frequently refers to the president as his “little buddy” on Twitter.
