Bill Cosby is apparently the most popular guy around … in prison, that is.

That’s at least according to Andrew Wyatt, a spokesman for Cosby who told TMZ that all the inmates at the State Correctional Institute Phoenix just love the former comedian. (RELATED: Here’s The Advice OJ Simpson Has For Bill Cosby In Prison)

This stands in sharp contrast to previous reports we’ve heard, which claim Cosby was the target of disdain and errant chicken patties when he arrived to prison in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

According to TMZ, Cosby has received glowing adoration during his time at Phoenix. Wyatt claims inmates applaud Cosby when he comes into the community visiting centers. But it’s not just the guys doing time behind bars that love him. Prison guards reportedly joke around with him and reminisce about some of his best times as a comedian.

Wyatt, who may be a little biased here, also claims the prisoners share a general consensus that Cosby’s prison sentence is only the result of a corrupt justice system.

At the time of Cosby’s sentencing, Wyatt called it “the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States,” adding, “they persecuted Jesus and look what happened. Not saying Mr. Cosby is Jesus, but we know what this country has done to black men for centuries.”

Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison for year three counts of aggravated sexual assault in April.
