Tennessee and Duke are holding on tight to the top spots in the latest AP college basketball poll.

The top 10 in the new poll released Monday are below:

  1. Tennessee
  2. Duke
  3. Gonzaga
  4. Virginia
  5. Kentucky
  6. Michigan
  7. Nevada
  8. North Carolina
  9. Houston
  10. Marquette

I’m a little surprised that Duke hasn’t jumped Tennessee for the top spot. Anybody with eyes can see that they’re the best team in America when they’re playing at their best.

Yes, Tennessee only has one loss to Duke’s two losses, but it shouldn’t matter. Zion Williamson, Coach K. and company are substantially better when they’re on. If the Blue Devils brought their best game, they could annihilate the Volunteers.

Do we all remember what happened when they played fifth-ranked Kentucky? They blew them out of the gym.

As for my beloved Badgers, we dropped only one spot after losing to Michigan. That loss should never have happened, but it did. (RELATED: Wisconsin Loses Heartbreaking Game To Michigan)

You just have to brush that off and keep moving. Right now, we’re 17-7. Is that where I’d love to be? No, but we’re still in great position for the postseason.

One loss to the Wolverines won’t change that.

Make sure to check back next week after another great few days of basketball to see how much things have changed.

It should be another outstanding week of college basketball, and March is right around the corner! Let’s get after it.
