“Squat Day” appeared to go well for Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The Alabama transfer showed a bunch of Big 12 players what SEC strength was all about when he squatted nearly 600 pounds. See for yourself:

Hurts was able to squat roughly the equivalent of a black bear or a small car. Keep in mind the guy is only 6 feet 2 inches tall, which is the same height as yours truly. I can only imagine how “squat day” would go for me.

This isn’t the first time that Hurts proved his prowess in the weight room. Last year, while serving as the backup to Tua Tagovailoa in Tuscaloosa, Hurts was able to squat 600 pounds and perhaps most impressively was able to squat nearly that same amount while a junior in high school.

Few college football players possess the combination of toughness, strength, and pure talent that Jalen Hurts does. He’s a rare breed and Oklahoma certainly got a good one.

Expect to see the Sooners back in the College Football Playoff next year.
