Jennifer Lopez hired “Fixer Upper” star Joanna Gaines to do the interior decorating on her and baseball star Alex Rodriguez’s new Malibu home.

A-Rod and Lopez bought the $6.6 million home in February and for their two year anniversary A-Rod hired Joanna Gaines to help them fix up the house, according to a TMZ report published Monday. Lopez told Ellen that A-Rod surprised her and she fangirl’d about it.

On The Ellen Show, Lopez told Degeneres that A-Rod asked her to do a meeting with him and she was shocked to find Joanna on the other end of the FaceTime call.

The “Fixer Upper” stars don’t do projects outside of Waco, so the announcement means big things could be coming for the couple’s new lifestyle network.

Chip and Joanna Gaines announced they were returning to TV in November with their own lifestyle network. Fans of “Fixer Upper” adored the hit TV series where Chip and Joanna teamed up to complete amazing renovations on houses in Waco, Texas. The Gaines’ have successfully built a lifestyle empire beyond the HGTV hit “Fixer Upper”. Not only does the couple have their own TV network now, but they also own “Magnolia Market,” a lifestyle magazine, a Target line, multiple books, and Magnolia Realty.

There’s just something magical about watching these ugly houses be turned into amazing homes with just a little bit of shiplap and Chip’s famous “demo day” antics. J-Lo is one lucky woman and maybe we’ll get a peak at the finished product on their new network.
