Free Radicals — Freshman Democrats Keep Getting Into Trouble

On today’s show, we discuss how the “trifecta” of media darling, freshmen Democratic congresswomen keep getting themselves into trouble with party leadership ethically, and possibly with the law. Plus, Bernie Sanders pulls the equivalent of “I have a black friend” when asked about his record on civil rights and Hillary Clinton is challenging the validity of another election, something she used to call a threat to democracy.

Listen to the show:

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar are liberal media darlings and gaffe machines. This week we’ve found out one of them is facing allegations of campaign finance irregularities (to put it nicely), another paid herself a handsome salary from campaign funds, and the other has made another round of anti-Semitic remarks that have House leadership scrambling to condemn. All this and they’ve only been in Congress for 2 months.

The mother of Ocasio-Cortez, it turns out, fled New York to save a fortune on taxes. The mother of the Democratic Socialist admitted her property taxes went from $10,000 per year to $600 by moving to Florida.

Sen. Bernie Sanders was trying to tout his civil rights bonafides on “The Breakfast Club” Tuesday by saying he was one of the few white politicians who endorsed Jesse Jackson in his bid for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 1988. He was then asked if he had any legislative accomplishments that benefited black people, and Bernie came up empty.

Hillary Clinton, who declared a candidate’s unwillingness to accept defeat as a threat to democracy, has not only spent the last 2 years not accepting her loss, but, this past weekend, refused to accept the loss for Stacey Abrams in the Georgia gubernatorial election last year. Abrams lost handily, yet Democrats insist the election was stolen despite there being zero evidence to back up their claim.

We rip it all to shreds on today’s show.
