Official Cause Of Death For Luke Perry Listed As Massive Stroke

Luke Perry’s official cause of death was a massive stroke, according to documents released after his shocking death two weeks ago.

In the death certificate obtained Wednesday by TMZ, the cause of death for the late “90210” star was “ischemic cerebrovascular accident,” or a stroke, which he suffered five days before his death on March 4. He was 52. (RELATED: Luke Perry Reportedly Dead After ‘Massive’ Stroke)

Perry spent half of his time in the state, where he owned a farm since 1995 when he wasn’t on set shooting the hit CW series. His fiancée, Wendy Bauer, is also listed as his next of kin, per the document.  (RELATED: Luke Perry Hospitalized After Massive Stroke)

The late actor shocked the world when reports surfaced two weeks ago the star had passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank after suffering what was reported as a stroke. Soon after news of his death hit, his co-stars and fellow celebrities reacted on social media with tributes to Perry, who by all accounts was a great friend to everyone.

“Riverdale” producers halted filming for the day and reports since have stated that the remainder of the season will be dedicated the late star.
