The results from Special Counsel Mueller’s long-awaited report are in: President Trump and his team did not collude with Russia in the 2016 election. While most Americans are rejoicing that Mueller’s investigation is over, #NeverTrumpers, Democrats and the liberal media are foolishly doubling down. This proves that Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, and that Democrats were never focused on any truth; they are merely focused on trying to bring down President Trump.
In fact, the Mueller probe at face value was little more than a ploy to reverse the results of 2016 for Washington’s favored candidate. And don’t expect Democrats or the media to let up in their harassment campaign against the president. As we did in 2016, Americans must stand with President Trump as he’ll need our support more than ever over these next two years.
Mueller’s investigation was both thorough and encompassing. 500 search warrants were executed, 500 witnesses interviewed, and 2,800 subpoenas were issued. Costs for the investigation exceeded more than $25 million dollars over the last two years. And throughout the duration of his work, Mueller was largely confidential. While Mueller did his work honorably, Democrats and the liberal media abused the special counsel to smear President Trump and elect Democrats.
More than 8,500 articles were written about the Mueller probe, painting the president as guilty despite a lack of evidence. TIME magazine even went as far as running a cover story with the White House seemingly being engulfed by the Kremlin, a not so subtle inference that the American President was a Russian puppet. Other disgusting lies like the ‘impending indictment’ of Donald Trump Jr. were frequented on cable news programs.
Meanwhile, prominent Democrats used Mueller to polarize the electorate and raise campaign funds. The DNC, DCCC, Robert O’Rourke, and Adam Schiff, all used some iteration of the special counsel to pad their campaign coffers by spreading lies and falsehoods about the president and his family.
The special counsel investigation turned into the loudest rallying cry for Democrats during the 2018 midterm election. Democrats across the board argued that they had to be elected in order to protect Mueller. “The [Mueller probe] undoubtedly was an important factor in shaping voters’ perceptions before the 2018 midterm election, in which Democrats won control of the House,” noted Paul Farhi in a recent Washington Post article.
As a result, one would think the Democrats and mainstream media would take a moment to reflect on these divisive consequences. The campaign of harassment had its intended effect by bringing a host of new Democrats into Congress, some of whom immediately turned their attention to impeachment. But this campaign also sowed deep distrust of our public institutions and republic as a whole.
Now that the president has been exonerated, rather than change course, they are pushing ahead to build a new narrative that the Mueller investigation was “just the beginning.” Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler promised to open an even broader probe into president Trump. And news outlets that have smeared the president are doing anything but apologizing.
Politico tweeted after the conclusion of the probe “But after the nearly two-year investigation found no collusion or clear obstruction of justice, Trump and his aides showed little interest in healing or national unity.” Learning nothing from the chaos they created, the left-wing media wants you to believe that Trump and his associates caused this divide, not them.
This just goes to show that Democrats and the media will not stop until they successfully reverse the results of the 2016 election. These people just can’t accept that Donald J. Trump beat Hillary Clinton in a fair and free election. After all that has happened, it is clear they are either severely dishonest, or seriously ill. They will never accept that the American people put Donald J. Trump in the White House, and we will again.
President Trump’s agenda has empowered everyday Americans by making our country safer, stronger, and greater than before. And we owe our support to him because of that. Now that this probe is over, every patriot must now do their part to defeat the Democrats who put our country through this charade. Now more than ever is a time to stand strong with President Trump and make sure he knows that we’ve got his back.
