Lil Nas X has accomplished something incredibly impressive.

According to Billboard, his song “Old Town Road” is the most streamed song for any week in history after it was streamed 143 million times in the week period ending April 11. (SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

The previous record was set by Drake with his song “In My Feelings” with 116.2 million streams.

The song has been in the news nonstop ever since it was booted from the country Billboard rankings. Anybody with ears and a functioning brain can tell clear as day that it’s not country.

In an attempt to fix that, the young musician teamed up with Billy Ray Cyrus for a remix, which still isn’t on the country rankings.

Despite all the debate about whether or not it’s a country song (it’s not), it’s still an incredibly cool accomplishment by Lil Nas X.

Having 143 million people listen to your song in a single week is downright outrageous. It blew Drake clean out of the water. The numbers aren’t even close at all.

Props to Lil Nas X. It might not be country, but it’s garnering plenty of attention, and that’s a win any day of the week in the entertainment industry.
