Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger revealed he used to smoke weed, but hasn’t in four years.

He claims Arnold Shwarzenegger encouraged him to stop in an Instagram post shared Sunday, according to Entertainment Tonight. The actor recalled showing up to Easter Sunday high four years ago.

Patrick said his dad questioned why he would want to show up high and he recalled saying it was more fun to be high. Arnold responded, “How much more fun do you need to have, life is so good. I’m high on life. I never want anything that would take me out of my current life. Being high on life is better then [sic] anything else.” (RELATED: Chris Pratt Explains Why He Was Nervous To Ask Arnold Schwarzenegger This Question)

Since then, Patrick says he has stopped smoking weed and that he is just “high on life now.”

Arnold has addressed smoking weed in the past after he famously smoked a joint in the documentary “Pumping Iron.”

“I did smoke a joint and I did inhale. The bottom line is that’s what it was in the ‘70s, that’s what I did. I have never touched it since,” he told CBS News in 2002. “I lived a certain life, I want everyone to know that’s the life I lived. As you grow up and as you become more mature, those things change. The only one that’s perfect is God.”
