Meghan Markle reportedly went into labor first thing Monday morning and gave birth to a baby boy.

Buckingham Palace confirmed Markle was in labor to CBS News and the royals made the announcement on their Instagram. The baby is right on time as Markle was set to give birth anywhere between the end of April and the beginning of May.

As the due date quickly approached for Baby Sussex, Markle and Prince Harry announced that their birth plans would be kept private.

“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,” a statement from Kensington Palace read. “The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.” (RELATED: Report: Meghan Markle Will Only Take A 3 Month Maternity Leave)

That’s not the only tradition the royal family intends to break from. Don’t expect a posed appearance directly following the baby’s birth. As previously reported, Markle and Prince Harry don’t plan to pose for photos.

Markle has been labeled a “committed feminist” and friends have said she “felt sorry” for sister-in-law Kate Middleton for having to pose immediately after birth, according to Page Six. Reports have claimed that Markle thinks it is unrealistic to be perfect after giving birth.
