The View’s Meghan McCain and Joy Behar fist bumped on the show Monday morning after agreeing with one another about former Vice President Joe Biden’s ability to rival President Donald Trump’s campaign style.

The hosts were discussing Biden’s campaign tactics thus far, and predicting what he might need to do in order to win an election against Trump.

“If he does feel like he has to get down in the mud with Trump, what does it say about us? What does it say about society right now, that this needs to be done to win the presidency? I hope he doesn’t because so far his campaign has been about sewing this country back together,” Abby Huntsman stated. Whoopi Goldberg added, “You don’t want to get into mud-racking with Joe. You don’t want to do it cause he’s a scrapper. I don’t think he’s going to back up. I think he’ll come right for you.”

“He will go Wilmington, Delaware on his ass so quick and I for one look forward to it. Honestly I’m ready for a fight here, honestly. I’m ready for a fight. I’m ready for somebody to counter-punch in a way that’ll be effective,” McCain answered. “I think he’ll be classy because Joe is a classy guy. But I also think like you’re in the arena, you’re the frontrunner, and I was watching all the Sunday shows, and watching all the pundits sort of like begrudgingly come to terms with the fact he’s the frontrunner and it already looks like it’s a boxing match between him and Trump. I for one look forward to the fight all day, every day.”

“His base, Trump’s base, likes it when he makes up all these names. Crooked Hillary. They go to those MAGA rallies and they love them. Joe Biden’s base—I’m one of them—I like it too on that side. Go right back at him. I’m a street fighter. I’m from Brooklyn. Go right at him,” Behar followed up.

She and McCain proceeded to fist-bump in agreement of the possibility of Biden campaigning in a similar fashion to Trump.

“I’m a fighter, too!” McCain said cheerfully after the audience erupted in applause.

McCain, the outspoken conservative on the show, often butts heads with the other hosts and Behar in particular.

Last month, the two of them got into a heated disagreement that led to McCain reminding Behar that “part of your job is to listen to me.”
