Kate Middleton and Prince William were “delighted” to hear the news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s child had finally arrived and can hardly wait to meet him.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family,” a message shared on Kensington Palace’s Instagram account read Monday. It came following the highly anticipated news Monday that the Duchess of Sussex finally gave birth to her and the Duke’s son in the morning hours.
“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,” the post shared on the former “Suits” actress and husband’s social media account read, with the words, “It’s a boy.”

The duke said he was “looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quieted down.”
