On today’s show, we talk about the “scoop” the New York Times thought it had when they got their hands on 10 years worth of President Trump’s tax returns. But they were 34 years old, covered ground the world already knew about and didn’t show anything untoward or illegal.
Also: Nancy Pelosi thinks “democracy” is dependent on defeating Trump in 2020, a local news anchor was fired for a stupid question, Trump’s reelection campaign is a hit with women, and there could be an Uber and Lyft strike today.
Listen to the show:
The New York Times managed to get copies of Donald Trump’s tax returns from 1985–1994, and it was a big yawner. He lost money — a lot of money — but who cares? He’s rich, and more impressively, he pulled out of that downtime in his business and became more successful.
Why liberals think this matters to people who don’t already hate the president remains a mystery, but all of this ground has been known about Trump’s past for decades; it happened in public. The only thing new is some of the numbers, and none of it matters. We explain.
Nancy Pelosi thinks our very “democracy” depends on defeating Donald Trump’s reelection bid. Yet Democrats aren’t selling anything but government dependence and a vision of the country that makes people wonder why they’d want to live here, let alone lead it. They are constantly calling the country fundamentally racist, sexist, homophobic and so on. Who do they think this appeals to? We discuss.
A Baltimore news anchor asked a stupid, poorly worded question and was fired over it. The PC police claim another victim. And Uber and Lyft are facing a potential strike from drivers overpay.
One Virginia delegate, who publicly complained about his low government pay and moonlights as a driver, is helping spread the word. He’s also complaining about his low government salary — $17,000 — but it’s only for an average of 45 days of work per year. We get into all of it.
