“Avengers: Endgame” continued to dominate at the box office Thursday on its 14th day of domestic release and passed the mega-hit “Titanic” in North American box office sales.

The highly-anticipated final film in the epic “Avengers” franchise earned $7.516 million Thursday, putting the grand total since it came out two weeks ago at $660.4 million in the U.S. passing up James’ Cameron’s “Titanic” at $659 million, per Forbes Friday. Those numbers now mean the conclusion in the “Avengers” series is the fifth biggest domestic earning film of all time. (RELATED: ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Directors Issue Plea To Fans Ahead Of Highly-Anticipated Release)

It is also estimated to not only pass “Black Panthers” $700 million by Saturday, but its predecessor “Avengers: Infinity War” at $679 million by tonight.

By Sunday, it is believed that the 17-day total will only be behind the likes of movies “Avatar” at $760 million and, of course, the epic hit “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which earned $937 million.

Despite the great numbers, the latest from Marvel/Disney is most likely going to lose its previous title as the “fastest-grossing movie.”

According to the outlet:

With the obvious caveat that this only matters for box office nerds like me, its 14-day total is now just $9 million higher than the $652 million 14-day cume of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Yet Star Wars Episode VII earned $22.9 million on day 14 while Avengers 4 earned just $7.5 million. Even if Avengers: Endgame rallies a little bit this weekend despite Detective Pikachu, its day 15/Friday gross will likely be closer to $20 million than Force Awakens’ $34.4 million day-15 gross.

As previously reported, the final installment from directors Joe and Anthony Russo brings back such fan favorites as Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr., just to name a few. I finally saw it and I have to say it completely lives up to the hype, without giving away anything further. Of course, I wouldn’t spoil it for you!
